Larkspur Ranch

Meet the newest addition here at Larkspur, "Ringo", born at 7 AM on Tuesday the 14th of March 2006. Ringo is a gorgeous Tennessee Walking Horse colt out of our mare, Onyx. Hes a big, happy, healthy colt...and just as pretty as can be. Looooong walking horse legs...gaits in the stall already!!

Unfortunately, Ringo's mama isn't the motherly type and we had to seperate them the day after he was born. We'll be hand raising the little guy...hes already taken to the bottle really well...especially since mama didn't want him nursing and he was huuuuuuunnngry!! Our vet, Dr. John Chappell says he'll be fine..but not to let him get spoilt rotten.

His first month birthday...with his buddy, Dixie!!

Please join us in welcoming Larkspur's first colt of the year "Midnight Maxx Houston". By our Spotted Saddle Horse stud, Midnight Matt and out of Mona Lisa Allen "Crystal", my palomino racking horse mare. "Houston" surprised us all by arriving nearly 3 weeks early! Momma "Crystal" made quick work of the delivery at 7:30 pm on Saturday, Feb. 21st.
Houston will be joining half-brother "Whisper" and half-sister "Tumbleweed" here at the ranch to continue the Dillon bloodline of amazing gaited horses.

Houston at 12 weeks old. Hes a growing boy, going to be big and looking to shed to a gorgeous buckskin color like his half brother! Mama Crystal makes beautiful babies...Houston is her fourth....three palominos and a spotted buckskin...what a lady!!

Houston at 6 months old. Chocolate maybe?? He changes color on a monthly basis...

This is Tumbleweed, our palomino SSH filly by Midnight Matt and out of Sagebrush. Shes a little lady with blue eyes and the sweetest personality you'd ever want to meet. Top picture is at 5 weeks old. Bottom two pictures are August of 2004, Shes going to be a good sized horse! Extremely friendly in the pasture..shes going to be a gorgeous girl!

This is Whisper, our b/w SSH colt by Midnight Matt and out of MayFour. This little guy has personality plus and does a gorgeous flying gait around the pasture! Hes going to be something special.Above Pic on the left is at 5 weeks old. Pic on the right is at 8 months old. Growing like a weed, super friendly in the pasture.
